Tayouki is a cosy Japanese lodge surrounded by forests, mountains and the peaceful countryside of northern Nagano.
Surrounded by deep powder, alpine scenery and some of the best winter terrain in Japan, the lodge offers a simple and welcoming place to rest, recharge and plan your next day in the mountains.

GETTING TO TAYOUKI
Tayouki is located at: 3884-249 Nojiri, Shinanomachi
Kamiminochi District, Nagano 389-1303, Japan
While public transport is available, we recommend renting a car for the greatest flexibility during your stay. Having your own vehicle allows you to explore different resorts, chase the best conditions and make the most of your time in the mountains.
BY TRAIN
The nearest major local station is Kurohime Station on the Shinano Railway Kita-Shinano Line.
From Nagano Station, Kurohime is approximately 35 minutes by train. Nagano itself is connected to Tokyo and other major cities by the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
From Kurohime Station, we recommend arranging a taxi or contacting Tayouki in advance about local transport.
BY CAR
The nearest expressway exit is Shinanomachi Interchange, making Tayouki accessible by car from Nagano and the wider region.
FROM TOKYO
Take the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo to Nagano Station, then transfer to the Shinano Railway Kita-Shinano Line towards Kurohime.
From Kurohime, continue to Tayouki by taxi or arranged local transport.

Comfortably sized double room in traditional Japanese style, for up to two guests.

Comfortably sized standard double room for up to two guests. Good storage and hanging space.

Meet Nitai
As a backcountry snowboard guide, Nitai has spent years exploring Japan’s incredible mountain terrain, returning season after season.
Having explored the area extensively, Nitai created Tayouki Lodge as a place where fellow skiers and snowboarders could have a comfortable base while experiencing everything this unique region has to offer.
